CMN / ATV Charitable Event Participants,
Regrettably, due to some recent developments beyond our control, the
Children’s Miracle Network Charitable ATV Ride scheduled for October
13th at Pawtuckaway State Park, New Hampshire has been cancelled.
We were notified on Sept 11th about the possibility of our special
usage permit being denied. This information was made official on
Sept 12th when we received the denial letter from the State Of New
Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development ( DRED )
stating the denial. We are still in the process of evaluating why
this decision was made so late in the planning process.
At the Wal-Mart planning level we obtained all the required
insurances, Fish and Game permits, and Pawtuckaway Park camping
approval. We also obtained EMT and traffic control support from
local authorities. Finally, on August 15th, we ran a pre-ride ride
route with the NH Trail Bureau and agreed to all their requirements.
We want to thank everyone for the tremendous support we received
from all over New England. We had rider representation from the
States of Rhode Island, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, New
Hampshire, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. We were proud
to see such a great response to a great cause. Wal-mart & CMN thank
you for your commitment to community. Jim O’Malley, representing CMN
has asked me to pass on his thanks to each of you;
“Everyone at Children’s Hospital Boston offers their sincerest
thanks for your interest in
supporting Children’s Miracle Network through the Wal-Mart ATV
Rally. On behalf of
the 500,000 patients we treat each year, THANK YOU!”
All the best,
Jim
We have enclosed a refund check for your registration and or Camping
fees for the event. I also want to thank you for your patience as we
worked our way through the backwards planning process.
